  1. Shivani

Not only is this a well researched book that documents an integral component of Indian culture, but also, it is clearly a personal labour of love for the author. The result is an informative and engaging piece of work that will (no doubt) last well beyond its time.

  2. Placeholder

Beautifully written about incredible Indian Aromas

  3. Shar

Gorgeous book so I bought to gift a friend

  4. Anubhav Khiwani

Nothing can touch the soul like the senses and one of the least covered ones is the senses related to smell, the olfactory sensory neurons will be woken up by this well researched and beautifully documented book written by the author. Its clearly written with loads of information, science, history, nuances related to creation and kinds of perfumes. For instance the rose – what is takes to make liquid form and how everything related happens. The book is written in a very new age style , something I see in relation to magical realism style of writing, the author has good hold on the subject and takes you through a journey in search of the perfumes around India. I loved the sandalwood section. With travels, historical details and the whole colorful picture, one gets invested and interested in the world of perfect sense of smell. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to read about a wonderful world of Perfumes

  5. Bookish

The book is a tour (an unpretentious tour, I may add) of the history and trade of perfume in India. This isn’t just a book for perfume lovers, but anyone interested in an unusual industry. The author is trained in perfumery, and her knowledge of the science and art of it adds depth to this breezy, fascinating read.

  6. bhavani

For people who love perfumes & fragrances. I could almost smell vetiver while reading the chapter. Brush of history and aromas
