What makes Devdutt Pattanaik a brilliant author that he is? Is it the ability to describe God? Is it the ability to take a dip into the ocean of infinite research that is spirituality? Is it the ability to manifest the hidden divinity in us readers? More than anything I think it is the churning of the ocean that he undertakes so that the nectar of the divine reaches our soul. He is a historian that history will seldom forget, the wizard of spiritualism , the pall bearer of the sanatan dharma who will keep the torch of spiritual quest alive for generations to come.He reveals secrets of imagery which we see in day to day life like no other,unparalleled…..

7 Secrets from Hindu Calendar Art – A Book ReviewI have read various books written by Devdutt Pattanaik but this one is something which I personally think is presented in quite an organized manner.India is a huge nation where people hang images of their deities on their walls or place them in their house-temple and worship them.Through this book the author has tried to reveal the hidden message of these images by decoding their meaning which are called Hindu Calendar Art.The book is well-researched, well-organized and well conceptualize. From black & white images of the Gods and The Goddess and gods and goddesses to the perfectly numbered images for reference, as a reader you will love how author has tried to not to leave any stone unturned to make his readers understand the true meaning of these Hindu calendar arts. What I have concluded after reading this book is that there always should be balance between spirituality and logic aka materiality of the world.

Good book. But suggest facility to know in advance about the pictures inside. They were in black and white. It would have been better if they were in colour.
