I have known Dr kusum as a teacher of medicine for about 30 years and as a doctor of medicine for 15years. The high point of Dr chands treatment include, quick recovery with lasting effects. She makes the patient a partner in the healing process and explains them the causes of their disease. Targeting pathology with the homeopathic diagnosis is her usp and this book dare to differ is an amalgamation of this unique approach. It is a must read for any one interested in learning homeopathy as a doctor or a patient. It a gift of healing to the medical world.

What I found most interesting about this book was that Dr Chand trained and practised as an allopath for many years before her personal experiences with homeopathy convinced her to switch her entire practice over.A doctor who has experience on both sides of the matter is the most convincing advocate for homeopathy as a gentle and effective alternative system of medicine. The author’s personal reminiscences about her education and her practise enliven this book as she discusses case studies of her patients and her deep research in homeopathy as an effective treatment for drug-resistant TB.The book is an easy, enjoyable read and yet insightful in matters of medicine and treatment.

The book gives the right perspective on health and healing. While the journey showcases a genuine quest for cure and recovery, there’s a strong message regarding how we need to to stay humble, keep an open mind, be a learner and take an active part to optimise our own health milestones.Such an inspiration!!

There are very few books in the medical genre which are as interesting to read as Dr Kusum Chand’s Dare to Differ. Dr Chand takes the reader through her journey as a medical student, a doctor, a woman and most importantly, a healer in search of the best system of treatment for patients. In the course of this journey, the author moves towards a ‘gentler’ system of treatment – homeopathy. She deep dives into studying homeopathy and slowly starts treating different ailments with it. Her success in this results in her getting many patients coming to her, looking for succour. Her path breaking work in the treatment of TB using homeopathy catapults her to centre stage.Dare to Differ is a book that makes one smile at many places. It also makes one ruminate on the importance of an integrated system of medicine. One puts down the book with the realisation that homeopathy is an effective and proven system of treatment.
