I had pre ordered for Madam Prime Mimister after reading Race Course Road which I liked. The book downloaded on my kindle this morning and I have just finished reading it.The book is a follow through of the story from Race Course Road and continues in the similar racy style as in Race Course Road.Asha Devi takes over as the Prime Minister in a coalition with the Poriborton Party with the mercurial Sukanya Sarkar trying to control her in return for her party”s support. Then there is Didi Damayanti and her return to power in Bihar. It’s quite a thriller and sustains interest till the end.

Race course was definitely the benchmark which made me read this one. Buts it’s always a challenge to match the first one.still a good easy read

This book has to be on every must-read list. Madam Prime Minister is exciting and unputdownable. It hits the road running and immediately takes you back into corridors of power, the hectic world of Indian politics, alliances, conspiracies and shenanigans.Astutely characterised, and tightly-plotted, Madam Prime Minister is an able sequel to the author’s previous bestselling novel, Race Course Road from where it picks up the threads.Written in her signature easy yet sharp style, the story-line is so racy that one can visualise it as a binge-worthy web series.

Loved race course road, but the sequel was even better. Its a gripping way to spend your Sunday afternoon, the plot moves fast and the best part is trying to catch which character resembles whom in real life…. intriguing snippets of various real life personalites have been woven into the fictional characters. Watiing for the OTT version now for am sure it will be snapped up

Yet another amazingly well-written novel by Seema Goswami. Madam Prime Minister is a face-paced sequel to her debut novel Race Course Road, which I personally liked a lot and compelled me to read this book. I’m so glad this book lived up to its expectations, from the intricate details of the nitty-ditties of the political system to the genuine character development of the protagonist giving the story a meaningful depth. This was just perfect, cheers to the author for bringing this one-of-a-kind series into existence. Waiting for more!

I loved the way the book portrays the political dynamics around the main characters. The way Asha Devi emerges out in the political scene and how she deals with situations is unfailingly dramatic. Congratulations to the author and here’s wishing more to come from her!

  7. Kindle Customer

It’s difficult to put this book down without reading it through the last page and when you reach the end you want to ask the author if there’s going to be a next one!
