Yashika has clear thoughts on Feminism. As feminists we are aware, but Yashika has spelled it clearly. It is a must read for both men and women who consider themselves evolved. It gives the reader plenty of food for thought.

I came across this book’s excerpt in Splainer news edition and ordered it instantly.Have been hooked to it on my Mumbai local train journeys. What a brilliantly written book, such thought provoking observations, loved it to bits, have found learnings all along the way. Thanks to the Author for writing and articulating it so well.I have been sharing photos of my book reading on my stories all these days and countless women reached out for the book recommendation, hoping many more read it 🙂

  3. IM

Loved how the author assimilated (several) obvious and common-sensical truths, and presented them through an enjoyable personal voice with a centrist/humanist/non-extremist position.Several sections made me question some of my own behaviours and that of my dear male friends. We, the liberal sorts with deeply embedded patriarchal notions and feelings — so deep that we often don’t even realise it ourselves. Subconsciously patriarchal men as opposed to the author’s subconsciously feminist dad I suppose.Perhaps that could be a sequel?

  5. Manisha

Yashika’s book clearly shows how the simple experiences of everyday life teach us and empower us to become better versions of ourselves. It’s a must read for parents especially of boys. Only sincere and sustained efforts can truly transform our society and bring down the walls of sexism. Kudos to Yashika to choose such a topic for her first book. Eagerly awaiting the next one!

  6. Tejaswini

A great read for all women and a must for the men, very insightful, motivating, realistic, straight-up and simple with a beautiful touch of humour in the way Yashika has shared her story! Kudos to the author. Looking forward for many more such impactful books ahead. 👌🏻👏🏻👍🏻

  7. Must read for all men

I was reading with prejudices but I am so glad I read it and am so glad this book is written. I wish for all men to read this and learn what we need to do right. It’s simple.

  8. Manju s mittal

interesting book. The author aptly describes her subconsciously feminist n moralistic upbringing in a (virtually) visual manner, a treat to read, especially thesketch of her father is awesome.! I feel I know him so well. Well done ms. SRIKHAND BAKHRI
